I first met Jazmine Early when she attended Macomb County Commission meetings as a citizen advocate. She was articulate and to the point when speaking during public comments. She continues to be an advocate for the people in her community. I admire her tenacity and desire to make a difference in her community. Sterling Heights residents have benefited from her community involvement, and will benefit even more should she be elected to a seat on the Sterling Heights City Council.

Jazmine Early immigrated here from Columbia and became a citizen in 2005. She married Douglas Early and has a son, David, who will be 13 in Jan. Jazmine and her family are Christians. She is a hard worker and volunteers for many city and church committees. In Columbia she went to college and became an architect. Jazmine researches the city issues that are on the council agendas and speaks out at meetings regarding these issues. She is a conservative and listens to the people who she meets at their door or call her for information or to tell her what they think. Jazmine would be a great person to appoint to the vacancy on the current city council. She is an independent thinker and will stand up for the people.

Endorsement posted on Sen. Patrick Colbeck on FB page. 2015

Many people have asked me who I have endorsed in the elections on Tuesday, August 4th. I encourage voters to research each of the candidates themselves and vote according to their values. My endorsements are guided by Exodus 16:21 “you shall select out of all the people able men who fear God, men of truth, those who hate dishonest gain,”
In this light, I have endorsed the following candidates in ………..

I have endorsed the following candidate in the Sterling Heights City Council Race: Jazmine Early.

Don’t forget to vote on August 4th if your community is holding an election!

    Dear editor:
I’m writing to share with you my endorsement of Jazmine Early, a candidate for Sterling Heights City Council.

I met Jazmine in 2014 and know her to be a caring lady of great character with a desire and willingness to serve the residents of Sterling Heights. I admire her courage and commitment to her community and our country.

Jazmine is a woman of faith and shared community values, whose passion has persuaded many in Sterling Heights that she offers the representation city residents need on city council. There’s no doubt that Jazmine has the passion to defend your community’s interests and our Constitutional freedoms, and she wants to make sure that our government serves the needs of the people but doesn’t overextend itself, so that residents’ tax rates will be low and they can continue to enjoy the freedoms and prosperity that Americans cherish. As a skilled architect and legally naturalized immigrant, Jazmine will bring great assets to a multicultural city such as Sterling Heights. She will be sensitive to the needs of her constituents, and she strongly believes that all city officials must be accountable for their actions as trusted public servants.

Though my political position elsewhere may be of little relevance to voters in Sterling Heights, I’m hopeful my testimonial to Jazmine’s personal character and commitment will help encourage you to consider supporting her for Sterling Heights City Council. She is a trustworthy individual who will represent you and the entire community well.

Thank you for the opportunity to share my thoughts about Jazmine Early, and I wish her success on election day this November.

Respectfully, Rep. Gary Glenn, Midland Michigan House of Representatives
